i try. i make mistakes. i grow. i love. i love to eat pineapple. i cook and bake whenever i can. thai food is good for my soul. i collect blankets, sweat pants, and crazy socks. i believed i was peter pan when i was a child. i love to love. summertime is my favorite. i love feeling the sun on my face. i have a lot of good intentions. i had a bowl cut when i was younger. shakespeare was a genius. i love to laugh. God is everywhere. i love having painted toes. i am very blessed, and i try to "live life, every, every moment"

More Junior High Wisdom

As I was graded a "Record of Creativity" for some of my eighth graders, (basically like a memory book that they hand in every term for grades) I came across this entry from one of the cute girls in class.

I started crying.

How silly.

But I scanned it so I could keep it and remember it. I wasn't nearly as smart when I was her age, nor was I nearly as in touch with these things as I probably should have been. Maybe she's an exception to the rule. But....needless to say, this little 8th grader has inspired me today to be a better person in every aspect.
